Acroyoga as a Practice of Safety, Connection & Creative Expression

AcroSomaFlow logo teaching approach

Our approach to teaching is rooted in connection, clarity, and care.
We create a safe and supportive space where technique meets trust and structure meets play. Through clear progressions, attentive guidance, and conscious partner communication, we support steady and sustainable growth. Every student is encouraged to move at their own pace, build confidence step by step, and explore with presence, curiosity, and joy.

Inspired by Acroyoga Montreal

Our teaching is deeply inspired by the values and educational philosophy of AcroYoga Montreal, where we completed our teacher certification. Their culture of clarity, progressive learning, safety, consent, and strong community forms an important foundation for our work. We honor these principles while weaving in our own experience, artistic expression, and embodied exploration — allowing our teaching to remain both grounded and creatively alive.

Safety First

We emphasize progressive learning, clear communication, and professional spotting for every position and transition. You’ll learn not only how to spot safely, but also how to assess your readiness and take responsibility for your role as base, flyer, or spotter.

By respecting individual limits and pacing learning with nervous-system awareness, we support confident, sustainable, and long-term growth.

Our Method

Our classes integrate all elements of AcroSomaflow:

Acro
Solid acroyoga techniques, strength, alignment, and transitions.

Soma
Exercises for connecting to the self and the body—listening inward, sensing effort and ease, and cultivating presence.

Flow
An artistic expression of movement where creativity, rhythm, and play emerge naturally.

Hybrid Practise

We strongly encourage a hybrid practice and invite students to explore both base and flyer, regardless of their preferred role. We believe that occasionally switching roles is essential — it develops true technical understanding and naturally builds empathy. Experiencing both perspectives refines timing, communication, and sensitivity, leading to stronger, safer partnerships and greater creative freedom.
