About Us
We are Jorge and Marie — partners in life and in Acroyoga since October 2023. Coming from our own individual life paths and personal Acroyoga journeys, we found each other with a shared vision: to grow together, to deepen our practice, and to support others in doing the same. Our connection is rooted in trust, curiosity, and continuous evolution — both as a couple and as teachers. We represent AcroSomaFlow — the expression of our philosophy behind acroyoga, which, for us, is more than a technique but rather a universal teaching of presence, communication, embodied connection, and the flow between strength and softness.
Through our teaching, we invite you to explore trust, expand your awareness, and experience the beauty of moving and growing together.
Our Shared Journey in Acroyoga

Before we met, we each had our own journey into acroyoga. Jorge began taking classes in Playa del Carmen during the pandemic, discovering connection and community through movement in uncertain times. Marie found acroyoga while searching for an alternative to pole acrobatics in Cologne, Germany. For both of us, those first encounters were so powerful that we knew this practice would stay with us for a lifetime. From that moment on, we sought every opportunity to deepen our practice and weave acroyoga into the fabric of our lives — until the moment our paths finally crossed.
and community. Our shared path began in October 2023, when our individual paths in movement and exploration, seeking expression, connection, and self-discovery. While we both have been exploring Acroyoga long before we met, our paths finally crossed in April 2023 during training in Playa del Carmen. From the very first session together, it was clear that our connection would be much more than a passing practice. Shortly after, we became not only Acroyoga partners but life partners — sharing curiosity, presence, and growth on and off the mat.
Learning from International Teachers
Over the past 2.5 years, we’ve learned from many inspiring practitioners including Carly Sellers, Ruben Rodriguez, Kate in Paradise, Acro Consciencia, Chris Marx from Blind Acro, Jose Carric, Ger, Gerardo Simonin, Leonardo, Barbara, Jill Campbell, Eugine Poku, Jessie Goldberg, Heidi Blais, and Kike del Val. — and we continue to seek out learning opportunities wherever we are.

Teaching Private Classes Since 2024
Since 2024, we’ve been offering private classes to members of the local community in Playa del Carmen and to visiting tourists. The growing demand and connection in these sessions inspired us to continue our education and become certified teachers.
One of our biggest advantages is the space we hold this in. La Boheme is not only where we live, but also a place that almost magically came to us to realize our dreams — a home and creative sanctuary where movement, community, and vision naturally come together.
Certification & Deepening Practise

In December 2025, we completed 100 hours of immersive Acroyoga Teacher Training with AcroYoga Montreal in the Yucatán jungle and are now certified Acroyoga teachers. This training deepened our understanding of movement dynamics, teaching principles, safety, communication, and the mindful awareness behind technique and connection. We feel honored to have handed over our certificates from the founders of acroyoga itself, Jessy and Eugene Poku who deeply inspired our approach to teaching.

Our Training Space since 2026
Our training space is a welcoming, supportive environment designed for connection and growth. We have been rooted in this space since 2026, creating a consistent home for our community to practice and evolve together. It offers ample room, professional training mats, and high-quality training materials, all thoughtfully chosen with safety in mind. With its warm atmosphere and safety-focused setup, students can explore acroyoga with confidence, curiosity, and community.
Performing Publically
Sharing Acroyoga through movement and performance is one of our passions. In 2024, we performed with four dear friends in the “Ad Infinitum” Show at the Playa Theatre — an experience that blended art, flow, trust, and collaborative expression. In addition to performances, our private teaching — from beginners to more experienced practitioners — has been a joy and honor. Being part of people’s movement journeys, witnessing growth and confidence unfold, continues to motivate our own evolution.

Our Philosophy AcrosomaFlow
At the heart of our work is AcrosomaFlow — a name that reflects not only our approach to Acroyoga but the awareness and intention behind it. For us, this practice is more than physical shapes; it’s a dance between presence and play, strength and surrender, listening and responding. It’s about feeling your partner, communicating through breath and movement, and flowing with what arises in each moment. AcrosomaFlow embodies connection — with ourselves, with others, and with the subtle intelligence that arises when we move together.
